Designer Rimantė Rimgailaitė will hold her first solo collection presentation
Talented, bold and not afraid to go on creative adventures, fashion designer Rimantė Rimgailaitė has been famous for years for her exceptional occasional and extravagant stage outfits, which are also loved by the stars of the Lithuanian sky. And this autumn, the designer is preparing a special surprise for her fans - on 30 November, Rimantė will hold her first presentation, during which the audience will see her conceptual collection "Daffodil".
If we were to describe the work of designer Rimantė Rimgailaitė, we could hardly do without the Narcissus flower ring, which is the basis for the design, and which tells the modern story of the Greek hunter Narcissus - what the mythical hero might look like today, and what kind of narcissist he is nowadays. The designer's work is thus characterised by expression, bright colours, theatrical silhouettes and different textures. Although she has been working for several years, this will be her first event of this magnitude, so Rimantė doesn't hide her excitement: " I have been preparing for the presentation of the collection for a long time now, but now, with only a short time left before the show, I can't hide that I am having all sorts of thoughts, from anxiety to happiness, because adrenaline is heating up the blood. But, of course, this is a really exciting time in my life. Many people ask why, with so much experience in fashion design, I'm only now doing my first solo show, but I think there is a time for everything - it seems that I and my work are really ripe for a bigger step, for making myself and my work known in a louder, broader way. Everything in my work is cyclical and felt, gradual, without premature timing. And anyway, in general everything is going quite smoothly, I have no doubt it will be a very nice event".
When asked what the invited guests and creative fans will see during the presentation of the collection, the designer intrigues that the audience will be treated to three collaborations, well-known models and a conceptual collection, which has been put together with a lot of time and heart.
"I will surprise the audience with quite a few surprises during the presentation - from unexpected collaborations to familiar faces on the podium. I'm really looking forward to it, but let's keep the details under wraps for now. As for the clothes, I can only reveal that there will be a collection of occasion and wedding clothes for women and men" - says designer Rimantė Rimgailaitė
